abstract | 【Task】 An object of the present invention is to provide an epoxy resin composite material obtained by using a phenolic curing agent with improved mechanical properties such as bending strength, flexural modulus and fracture toughness value by nano-dispersing layered clay minerals. And [Solution] A tetraphenylphosphonium-modified layered clay mineral and a thermosetting epoxy resin are kneaded using a kneader of any of three rolls, a bead mill, an extruder or a kneader, and the obtained kneaded product is mixed with a thermosetting epoxy resin. By thermosetting a composition obtained by adding and mixing a phenolic curing agent having at least two phenolic hydroxyl groups in the remaining part and in one molecule, the layered viscosity mineral is finely dispersed, and bending strength, etc. It is possible to produce an epoxy resin composite material with greatly improved mechanical properties.
