abstract The present invention provides a method for repairing a defective portion of a matte-coated film so that the glossiness is uniform. A coating composition containing particulate matting materials [A] and [B] having different average particle diameters, wherein the matting material [A] is added to 100 parts by weight of a solid content of the coating composition. 1 to 20 parts by weight, 4 to 35 parts by weight of the matting material [B], and the total of the matting material [A] and the matting material [B] is 10 to 40 parts by weight A matte paint is applied to the repairing part, and a second matting paint having a gloss value higher than that of the first repairing matte paint is applied around the repairing part.
