abstract A method for producing a high-quality Group 13 metal nitride crystal by an industrially inexpensive method at a low pressure or a normal pressure is provided. A molten salt is placed in a reaction vessel and dissolved. A composite nitride 8 containing a periodic table group 13 metal element and a metal element other than group 13 of the periodic table is placed in a portion partitioned by the partition plate 5 and dissolved in the molten salt 6. The dissolved composite nitride 8 is dissolved in an ionic solvent and reaches the surface of the GaN crystal 1, and a Group 13 metal nitride crystal grows. [Selection] Figure 1
