titleOfInvention | Surface coated cermet cutting throwaway tip with hard coating layer that provides excellent chipping resistance in high speed cutting |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated cutting tip exhibiting chipping resistance in high speed cutting. In a coated cutting chip formed by vapor-depositing a hard coating layer of a Ti compound layer as a lower layer and an α-type Al 2 O 3 layer as an upper layer on the surface of the chip substrate, the entire surface of the upper layer is formed. As a lower layer, a compositional formula: TiO x , when represented by a titanium oxide layer satisfying X: atomic ratio of 1.2 to 1.7, and as an upper layer, a compositional formula: TiN 1-Y (O) Y (when (O) represents diffused oxygen from the titanium oxide layer), Y: an abrasive layer of a titanium oxynitride layer satisfying an atomic ratio of 0.01 to 0.4. In the state of vapor deposition, a polishing liquid containing Al 2 O 3 fine particles is sprayed by wet blasting to leave the abrasive layer around the tool mounting hole, and to remove the surface of the α-type Al 2 O 3 layer. By polishing, the surface roughness is Ra: 0.2 μm or less. [Selection] Figure 1 |
