abstract | An anisotropic conductive film excellent in cushioning properties and inexpensive and a method for producing the same are provided. A porous membrane 12 made of a polymer having a large number of holes penetrating in the film thickness direction, the holes being arranged in a honeycomb shape, and an inner wall surface of the hole being curved outward. And an anisotropic conductive film 10 provided with an electroless plating layer 14 formed on the inner wall surface of the hole. In addition, this anisotropic conductive film masks one surface of the porous film 12, applies a catalyst to the other surface of the porous film and the inner wall surface of the pores, and then masks one surface of the porous film 12. Without performing the electroless plating by masking the other surface of the porous membrane 12 to which the catalyst is applied, the electroless plating layer 14 is formed on the inner wall surface of the hole.
