abstract | 【Task】 Provided is a high-pressure discharge lamp in which a first power supply member and a cermet portion of a second power supply member are satisfactorily joined, the color characteristics of light emission are stabilized, and a required joining strength is obtained. [Solution] The high-pressure discharge lamp includes a translucent ceramic discharge vessel 1 including an enclosing portion 1a surrounding a discharge space 1c and small-diameter cylindrical portions 1b disposed at both ends thereof, an electrode member 2, and a halogen-resistant metal first power supply member. 3 and the second power supply member 4 including the cermet portion 4a, the electrode member is inserted into the small diameter cylindrical portion, the tip of the electrode member faces the discharge space, and the first power supply member is slightly between the inner surface of the small diameter cylindrical portion.
