abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium suitable for so-called blue laser application capable of high-speed and high-density recording. The organic dye compound contained in the recording layer of an optical recording medium on which a recording layer is formed on a substrate is a derivative of 4-benzylidene-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-one. [Effect] Any of these derivatives exhibits a maximum absorption wavelength at 300 to 450 nm, and particularly exhibits a large absorption near 400 nm. This absorption characteristic corresponds to the wavelength of a so-called blue laser and is extremely useful as a dye compound for an optical recording medium such as a next-generation recording medium such as a blu-ray disc. In particular, in the formula (A), if R 3 is a compound having a 2-ethylhexyl ester group, the property of a coating film on an actual optical recording medium is excellent in solubility in alcohol, ketone and the like and is difficult to crystallize. Therefore, the physical properties are also good. |
