abstract [PROBLEMS] To almost completely eliminate fluctuations in the liquid junction potential at the liquid junction, minimize contamination of the sample solution, replenish the internal liquid less frequently, and cause no clogging of the liquid junction. Provided is a reference electrode capable of performing high-precision measurement while maintaining durability over a long period of time. A reference electrode (2) includes an internal electrode (21), an internal liquid (22) in contact with the internal electrode (21), and a liquid junction connected to the internal liquid (22), wherein the liquid junction (23) is a gel.
