abstract To provide a zeolite separation membrane and a method for producing the same that can sufficiently suppress the contamination of impurities derived from the raw material of the zeolite membrane into an organic solvent. The present invention relates to a method for producing a zeolite separation membrane comprising a support and a zeolite membrane provided on the support, wherein the support is contacted with a reaction solution containing a raw material for the zeolite membrane, and the surface of the support is obtained. Above, a membrane element forming step for forming a zeolite membrane element composed of zeolite crystals, a washing step for washing the zeolite membrane element, and after the washing step, the zeolite membrane element is immersed in water to form a zeolite membrane.
