abstract | Provided is a method for inspecting the scratch resistance of a surface film capable of accurately and quantitatively inspecting the scratch resistance of the surface film. Using a rubbing tester, an antireflection film is rubbed according to an eraser rubbing method and a steel wool method to prepare a sample. The fluorescent lamps 12 and 13 are turned on, and the sample 6 set on the sample stage 5 is photographed so as to include the rubbing portion (S11). The PC 20 executes the luminance density conversion software, and converts the luminance of the captured image into a density (S12). Based on the converted concentration, a quantitative value of the average density difference between the rubbed and non-rubbed non-shine portions is calculated (S13). A range in which the rubbing trace does not remain, that is, a range that does not cause a problem in practice is calculated in advance, and the anti-scratch performance of the antireflection film is evaluated depending on whether or not the calculated quantitative value is within this range.
