titleOfInvention | Manufacturing method of plastic optical material |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an optical material having a large diameter and excellent productivity and handleability. A polymer in which first to n-th layers are concentrically stacked is formed by repeatedly performing a process of injecting a polymerizable composition into a hollow tube and polymerizing. A cylindrical or columnar polymer having an n-layer structure from which the hollow tube is removed is used as the core material 11. The cylindrical outer diameter adjusting material 12 is formed using a polymerizable composition by commercially available melt extrusion molding. The length L1 in the longitudinal direction of the core material 11 in the assembly process and the length L2 in the longitudinal direction of the outer diameter adjusting material 12 satisfy L2> L1. The core material 11 is inserted into the outer diameter adjusting material 12 to obtain a precursor 13. And the extending | stretching process which heats this precursor 13 and extends the core material 11 and the outer diameter adjusting material 12 simultaneously is performed. According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain an optical material having a desired diameter that is excellent in toughness and has a large diameter and excellent productivity and handleability.
