PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED To limit printing media (recording medium) because it is possible to produce printed matter having metallic luster, and stable printing is possible even with a printer using an inkjet nozzle having a nozzle diameter of 30 μm or less, and heat treatment is not required. Provided are a metallic pigment, an ink composition, and an inkjet recording method that enable inkjet recording that is not performed. SOLUTION: A metallic pigment having an average thickness of 30 to 100 nm, a 50% average particle diameter of 0.5 μm or more and 4.0 μm or less, and a maximum particle diameter in a particle size distribution of 12 μm or less. The ratio of the average particle diameter of the metallic pigment to the nozzle diameter of the inkjet head (average particle diameter / nozzle diameter) is 0.15 or less. It is preferable.
