titleOfInvention Resin additive
abstract To provide a resin additive capable of simultaneously improving mechanical properties and heat resistance (thermal decomposition temperature) for a synthetic resin. The resin additive of the present invention comprises a layered polysilicate organic silylated product having a structure in which a hydrogen atom in a silanol group of a layered polysilicic acid is substituted with an organic silyl group as an active ingredient. Specifically, an alkali metal ion between a plurality of layers of a layered polysilicate is ion-exchanged with a quaternary ammonium ion having a long-chain alkyl group, and then reacted with an organic silylating agent such as an organic silyl chloride. The layered polysilicic acid organic silylated product having a structure obtained by the above has good dispersibility in a resin and can simultaneously improve mechanical properties and heat resistance (thermal decomposition temperature).
