abstract | A method for synthesizing a silicate-based lamellar solid is provided. A method of synthesizing a silicate-based lamellar solid comprising: i) a mixing step in which a mixture comprising an alkaline metal, a silica source, water and an organic structuring agent is prepared; and ii) a crystalline solid A crystallization step in which the mixture is maintained under conditions that allow formation.
