abstract Disclosed is a method for producing a colored microcapsule aqueous dispersion for producing an aqueous jet ink having excellent dispersion stability, ink jetting characteristics, and excellent image fixing properties to a recording medium. A kneading step of dispersing a pigment in a film-forming resin having an acid value to obtain a solid coloring compound, water, an organic solvent that dissolves the film-forming resin, a base, and the solid coloring compound are mixed. A suspension step for obtaining a pigment suspension in which a part of the film-forming resin is dissolved, and a reprecipitation step for depositing a film-forming resin component dissolved in the pigment suspension on the pigment surface. A method for producing an aqueous dispersion of colored microcapsules, comprising:
