Provided is a cost-effective and simple process for producing fluorinated olefins of the formula RCF 2 CH═CH 2 , where R is C x Cl y F z and y + z = 2x + 1. . It is also directed to provide a practical method for converting these olefins to hydrofluorocarbons by catalytic fluorination with hydrogen fluoride. Hydrofluorocarbons produced by this method have particular use as solvents. A method for obtaining a target product by adding a fluorinated chlorohydrocarbon to ethylene, and fluorinating / dechlorinating. [Selection figure] None |
