abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for discriminating histological type of lung cancer, particularly pleural infiltration of lung adenocarcinoma. A method for discriminating pleural infiltration of lung adenocarcinoma, comprising detecting the expression of a gene included in a gene set determined by the following steps (i) to (v): (I) standardize the expression data of genes specifically expressed in pleural infiltration cases of lung adenocarcinoma; (Ii) ranking high discrimination genes and creating a high discrimination gene list; (Iii) selecting a gene set from the high discrimination gene list; (Iv) performing a discrimination ability evaluation of the gene set in step (iii); (V) A gene set having a discrimination ability is determined.
