abstract 【Task】 The present invention provides a novel microorganism capable of degrading methylthiolated triazines, which are frequently used as agricultural chemicals, in particular cimethrin, dimetamethrin, promethrin, and the like, and a method for degrading methylthiolated triazines using the microorganisms. [Solution] A novel bacterium Rhodococcus sp. Having the resolution of at least one substance of methylthiolated triazine, preferably methylthiolated s-triazine or methylthiolated-1,2,4-triazine. The strain FJ1117YT and the novel bacterium Bacillus cereus JUN7 are provided. In addition, a method for degrading methylthiolated triazine using the bacterium, particularly a method for degrading cimethrin, dimetamethrin, and / or promethrin is provided.
