abstract | An electrophotographic toner, a method for producing an electrophotographic toner, and an electrophotographic toner capable of improving cleaning properties and reducing the occurrence of filming and scratches on a photoreceptor without impairing high transfer efficiency, high image quality, and developability. Provided are a photographic developer, an image forming method using the same, and an image forming apparatus. An electrophotographic toner comprising a binder resin, a pigment, and a release agent, wherein a small particle size side volume particle size distribution index GSD v-under represented by the following formula (1) is 1 0.25 or less, the volume average particle diameter D 50v is 4 μm to 10 μm, and the small-diameter toner particles TP <5 in which the accumulation from the small-diameter side in the volume particle size distribution is 5% or less is represented by the following formula (2). The average value of the shape factor SF is 100 to 120, the content of the release agent of the small-diameter toner particles TP <5 is 5% by mass or less, and the average content of the release agent in the entire toner particles is 100. 10 to 80.
