abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a thick character and uneven stripes that are likely to occur in an electrostatic latent image formed by an exposure means of a surface emitting laser array, and to produce a good electrophotographic image at high speed. A forming apparatus, an image forming method, a process cartridge, and an organic photoreceptor are provided. An exposure means includes a surface emitting laser array having three or more laser beam emission points in the vertical and horizontal directions as an exposure light source, and scans the laser beam emission points on an organic photoreceptor to form an electrostatic latent image. The contact angle of the surface layer located farthest from the conductive support of the organic photoreceptor is 90 ° or more, and the developing means has a particle diameter of 90 ° or more. A toner having a toner particle content of 0.7 × (Dp50) or less of 8% by number or less and a water content of 0.1 to 2.0% by mass (30 ° C., 80% RH environment) is contained.
