abstract |
To provide a light deodorant porous body capable of exhibiting a deodorizing effect even in an environment where ultraviolet rays do not reach and an air cleaner using the same. A photo-deodorant porous body 1 comprises mesoporous silica 2 having pores 21 and a porphyrin metal complex 3 as an active oxygen generating catalyst supported on the pores 21 in the mesoporous silica 2. The porphyrin metal complex 3 has a property of being excited by visible light. The pore diameter of the pores 21 in the mesoporous silica 2 is 1.0 to 6.0 nm, and the loading amount of the porphyrin metal complex 3 is 5 to 10 wt% with respect to 100 wt% mesoporous silica 2.
