abstract The present invention provides a method for treating cancer. The method includes administration of an HSP90 inhibitor and an enzyme inhibitor, the combination administration providing a synergistic effect. In certain embodiments of the invention, a method of treating cancer is provided wherein a subject is treated with a predetermined amount of an HSP90 inhibitor at one stage and a predetermined amount of an enzyme inhibitor at another stage. In another embodiment of the invention, a method of treating cancer is provided in which a subject is first treated with a predetermined amount of an HSP90 inhibitor and then treated with a predetermined amount of an enzyme inhibitor. In another embodiment of the invention, there is provided a method of treating cancer wherein a subject is first treated with a predetermined amount of an enzyme inhibitor and then treated with a predetermined amount of an HSP90 inhibitor.
