| abstract |
An apparatus for continuously preparing a viscous composition containing an additive comprises: (i) a mixer that uniformly mixes and disperses the additive in the viscous fluid; and (ii) one or more that supplies the viscous fluid to the mixer. A servo motor driven pump; (iii) one or more servo motor driven pumps that supply the additive to the mixer; and (iv) means for supplying the viscous fluid to the servo motor driven pump for the viscous fluid; (V) means for supplying the additive to a servo motor driven pump for the additive; (vi) means for distributing the viscous fluid and the viscous composition containing the additive from the mixer to the container; and (vii) viscosity. The servo motor drive pump for fluid and the servo motor drive pump for additive are controlled to control the servo mode for viscous fluid regardless of the pressure surge in the means for supplying viscous fluid and the means for supplying additive. A programmable logic computer configured and arranged to maintain a predetermined RPM ratio between the servo-driven pump and the servomotor-driven pump for additives; and (viii) temperature compensation to compensate for temperature fluctuations of the viscous fluid Algorithm means. |
