The present invention relates to a nucleotide sequence of coryneform bacteria encoding a protein involved in L-serine biosynthesis and a method for producing L-serine. A deletion of at least 79 amino acids at the C-terminus of the wild type serA sequence was able to produce 3-phosphoglycerate-dehydrogenase with slight feedback inhibition by L-serine compared to the wild type. |
