abstract |
An easily manufactured light valve is provided. A temperature-controlled light valve quickly injects a low viscosity monomer + solvent solution between two closely spaced sheets of glass, for example glass, and then quickly forms a monomer to form a solid layer It is made by polymerizing and is transparent below the specified temperature and opaque above that temperature. The low viscosity of the monomer solution and its rapid polymerization make mass production economically practical. These light valve production machines may be improvements to existing machines made for the production of sealed double windows. |
