titleOfInvention Method, system and algorithm related to treatment planning for correcting vision
abstract The present invention is directed to a system and method for automatically determining a number of viable treatment plans for correcting a patient's visual acuity through photoablation refractive surgery. Embodiments of the present invention rely on various diagnostic inputs that are selected with respect to the patient's eye and that are particularly suitable for treatment with several treatment algorithms. It is a further object of the present invention to simultaneously present various treatment plans based on available treatment algorithms that can be reviewed, modified, and ultimately selected depending on the selected input data and application. A system embodiment according to the present invention includes components for receiving diagnostic input data relating to patient vision, analyzing the input data, and processing potentially available treatment algorithms based thereon, as well as patient A component for displaying a multi-level graphical user interface that facilitates reviewing, modifying and selecting a viable treatment plan for correcting vision.
