The present invention relates to an electrosterically stabilized polyurethane resin having an improved property profile, which comprises a hydrophilic and solvent-free macromonomer (A) (ii) having a single molecular weight distribution as alkyl- or It is obtained by preparing from an aryl polyalkylene glycol (A) (i) and a polyisocyanate component (B) (i) and subsequently reacting this preadduct with an isocyanate-reactive compound (C).
