abstract | The present invention is directed to a therapeutic sustained release composite granule formulation in which the coated therapeutic agent core composite granule particles are overcoated with a binder / dispersant such as povidone or crospovidone. The present invention is also directed to a method of treating or preventing a subject's Gram-positive bacterial infection by orally administering a compressed tablet of the sustained release composite granule formulation of the present invention and a clindamycin compressed tablet to the subject. . The binding / dispersing agent in the formulations of the present invention is a period in which the compressed tablets made therefrom remain in their original form during oral administration and are dissolved immediately thereafter to allow the composite granule to extend the therapeutic agent contained therein. Ensure that it can be released over time. |
