A curable coating composition and method of application thereof, particularly useful as a clear coating applied on a colored basecoat, having significantly reduced VOC and improved scratch resistance, corrosion resistance, and surface damage resistance is disclosed herein. The curable composition comprises a silane functional oligomer or polymer material comprising carbamate groups and a crosslinkable component comprising groups reactive with carbamate groups. |
