titleOfInvention Stencil manufacturing method
abstract The present invention relates to a method for forming a screen-printed stencil comprising the step of electroforming a stencil using a bipolar electrical signal. The bipolar signal includes a cathodic pulse (22) and an anodic pulse (24). When a cathode pulse (22) is applied during the electroforming process, a metal film is formed. Application of an anodic pulse (24) removes the metal. The cathodic pulse (22) has a longer duration than the anodic pulse (24). The ratio of the amplitude of the anodic pulse (24) to the amplitude of the cathodic pulse (22) is greater than one.
