titleOfInvention Peeling apparatus and method
abstract An apparatus for peeling a small amount of skin sample for bioanalysis processing, a technique using the apparatus, and a method using the apparatus. The device efficiently excises a small amount of epidermal tissue sample with minimal discomfort and without excessive excision of tissue. The device and method can be provided as part of a home kit for personal analysis. The apparatus comprises an actuator device 12 that releasably holds a probe 14. An adjustable sleeve 16 is releasably disposed on the actuator. The release surface of the probe includes a flat surface region 56 having a plurality of peaks 58 and valleys 60 extending from the flat surface region 56.
