Protomicroemulsion, cleaning instrument containing protomicroemulsion, and method of use thereof |
abstract |
A protomicroemulsion composition based on an ionic surfactant comprises at least about 20% by weight ionic surfactant system and less than about 10% by weight nonionic surfactant of the protomicroemulsion. About 0.25 wt% to about 50 wt% water-insoluble oil. Preferably, the PME contains about 5% to about 79% solvent. The protomicroemulsion forms a microemulsion when diluted from about 10% to about 99% with water. Protomicroemulsions contain limonene and / or terpineol therein. Microemulsions have a phase with a high oil absorption capacity and a phase with a low oil absorption capacity. The high oil absorption capacity phase has a high oil absorption capacity value that matches the high oil absorption capacity function. A high oil absorption capacity function defines a region with high oil absorption capacity. The low oil absorption capacity phase has a low oil absorption capacity value consistent with a low oil absorption capacity function. A low oil absorption capacity function defines a region of low oil absorption capacity. The ratio of the region with high oil absorption capacity to the region with low oil absorption capacity is about 75:25 to about 95: 5. Protomicroemulsions can form such microemulsions. |
