titleOfInvention Method for obtaining 17α-acetoxy-11β- (4-N, N-dimethylaminophenyl) -19-norpregna-4,9-diene-3,20-dione
abstract The process according to the invention comprises (a) 17α-acetoxy-11β- (4-N, N-dimethylaminophenyl) -19-norpregna-4,9-diene-3,20 by dissolution in isopropanol and subsequent crystallization. -Crystals of dione (VA-2914) isopropanol hemisorbate are formed; (b) crystals of VA-2914 isopropanol hemisorbate are separated; (c) the VA-2914 isopropanol hemisorbate is converted to VA-2914 Comprising doing. Compound VA-2914 is a steroid with antiprogesterone and antiglucocorticoid activity useful for gynecological indications for treatment and contraception, and for the treatment of Cushing's syndrome and glaucoma.
