abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a highly active and selective ammoxidation catalyst using a composite metal oxide containing P, V and Mo supported on Ti-PILC, wherein water is present in a hot water bath. A vanadium source is heated with oxalic acid to form vanadyl oxalate; a phosphorus source, a Mo source and Ti-PILC are added, and the resulting mixture is added at a temperature in the range of 110-450 ° C. in the presence of air. The above process comprising heating for a time in the range of ~ 35 hours and a gas mixture comprising methyl-substituted pyridine, ammonia and oxygen (air) as a reaction stream at a temperature of about 350-450 ° C on a fixed bed ammoxidation catalyst.
