(A) at least one silicon-containing compound having at least one silanol group and (B) at least one silicon-containing compound having at least one -OR group, (C) allowing the reaction to proceed A process for producing an organosilicon condensate comprising reacting with each other in the presence of a calcium or magnesium catalyst selected as a catalyst and (D) at least one solvent. Preferred catalysts are calcium hydroxide, calcium oxide, magnesium hydroxide or magnesium oxide. Advantageously, the solvent can be a protic solvent such as water, methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, 1-butanol, 2-butanol. The invention also relates to condensates such as siloxanes prepared by this method. |
