EphA2 agonist monoclonal antibody and method of use thereof |
abstract |
The present invention relates to methods and compositions designed for the treatment, management or prevention of cancer, particularly metastatic cancer. The methods of the invention comprise administering a therapeutically effective amount of one or more antibodies that bind to and act on EphA2, thereby increasing phosphorylation of EphA2 in the affected cell and decreasing EphA2 levels. . The invention also includes antibodies that preferentially bind to EphA2 epitopes exposed on cancer cells but not non-cancer cells. The present invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising one or more EphA2 antibodies of the present invention alone or in combination with one or more other agents useful for cancer therapy. |
