An object of the present invention is to impart anti-HIV properties to lubricants such as lubricants used during sexual intercourse and massage, lubricants applied to condom surfaces, colposcopes, and catheter insertion lubricants. Provided is a water-soluble functional lubricant having a low cytotoxicity, which contains a water-soluble polymer and an anti-HIV substance, particularly silk protein sulfate. The water-soluble polymer has good viscosity and lubricity, and the anti-HIV substance, particularly silk protein sulfate, exhibits moisture retention and anti-HIV. [Selection figure] None |
