titleOfInvention | Hydrogen sulfide detection material |
abstract | The present invention provides a hydrogen sulfide detecting material having high selectivity to hydrogen sulfide and easy handling. A silver salt dissolved in a polyhydric alcohol having a concentration of 0.85 vol% to 8.5 vol% is supported on a carrier having gas permeability. At the stage where the carrier is sufficiently immersed in the reaction solution, the carrier is pulled up, and methanol in the solvent is evaporated at room temperature. Thereby, the detection material carried on the carrier in a state where the silver salt is dissolved in the polyhydric alcohol is completed. When the detection material configured in this manner is exposed to hydrogen sulfide in the test gas, the hydrogen sulfide dissolves in the polyhydric alcohol, and the silver salt dissolved in the polyhydric alcohol reacts with the hydrogen sulfide, and this reaction It produces silver sulfide corresponding to the amount. Therefore, the amount of silver sulfide deposited, that is, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is proportional to the optical density of the carrier, and can be easily detected by detecting the optical density.
