titleOfInvention | Leakage suppression seal method |
abstract | To provide a sealing method capable of efficiently and reliably closing a leakage portion of a pipe without affecting gas related equipment. A sealing agent comprising a sealing compound capable of closing a leaking part of a pipe is supplied to a supply gas flow in the pipe and is circulated together with the gas flow to seal the leaking part. In the method, the gas flow passed through the pipe by a trapping agent disposed at a location downstream of the leakage portion and upstream of the gas-related equipment connected to the pipe. The leaking portion is closed while capturing excess sealing agent. Examples of the sealing compound include cyclic olefin oxides (for example, cycloalkene oxide such as cyclohexene oxide), olefin oxides having an affinity group for the residual sealant (for example, hydroxyalkene oxide such as glycidol), diketones, and the like. (For example, β-diketones such as acetylacetone). [Selection] Figure 1 |
