titleOfInvention Exhaust gas purification device for internal combustion engine
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably adsorb HC and NOx contained in exhaust gas when the internal combustion engine is cold-started. A bypass passage 28 branched from a main exhaust passage 16 of an internal combustion engine 10 is provided. A switching device 26 that switches the flow path of the exhaust gas between the main exhaust passage 16 and the bypass passage 28 is provided. A water adsorbent 36 is disposed on the bypass passage 28. On the bypass passage 28, a first HC adsorbent 38 is disposed downstream of the water adsorbent 36, a second HC adsorbent 40 is disposed downstream thereof, and a NOx adsorbent 42 is further disposed downstream thereof. Further, the purge control system is configured so that the purge operation can be executed individually from the NOx adsorbent 42 arranged on the downstream side. [Selection] Figure 1
