[PROBLEMS] To improve the flowability and compression moldability of a powder in a preparation containing hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, and to slowly release an active ingredient such as a water-soluble drug. A spray-release granulated product of an active ingredient, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC), anhydrous calcium hydrogenphosphate, and a powder component containing crystalline cellulose as necessary is tableted to obtain a sustained-release preparation. Active ingredients also include water soluble active ingredients such as phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride. HPMC may have a methoxy group content of 19 to 24% by weight and a hydroxypropoxy group content of about 4 to 12% by weight. The ratio of each component is 5 to 100 parts by weight of anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate and 1 to 50 parts by weight of crystalline cellulose with respect to 100 parts by weight of HPMC.
