abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and practical method for purifying fullerene capable of reducing fullerene oxide which is an impurity in a fullerene mixture. SOLUTION: A trivalent organophosphorus compound having one or more alkyl groups is allowed to act on a fullerene mixture containing oxidized fullerene to reduce the content of oxidized fullerene. Moreover, it is preferable to dissolve the fullerene mixture in an organic solvent. Further, the organophosphorus compound is preferably a trialkylphosphine, and in particular, the trialkylphosphine preferably has the same three alkyl groups. Moreover, it is preferable that the temperature at the time of making an organophosphorus compound act on a fullerene mixture exists in the range of -10 degreeC-50 degreeC. [Selection figure] None |
