abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: A functional gastroenteropathy is a subordinate concept of functional gastrointestinal (tube) disorder, and is a symptom of the upper digestive system centering on the stomach. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), which is included in the same functional gastrointestinal (tube) disorder and is a symptom of the lower digestive system centering on the small and large intestines, is different from functional gastroenteropathy. Effective drugs have not been developed for functional gastroenteropathy, and drugs have been used mainly in symptomatic therapy in the medical field. An object of the present invention is to provide an effective drug for functional gastroenteropathy for which there is no effective drug yet. [Solution] A functional gastroenteropathy treatment agent comprising piperine or a herbal medicine (pepper or hibatsu) containing piperine as an active ingredient. [Selection figure] None
