abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bactericidal algicidal agent and a method for preventing discoloration of an aqueous system to be treated, which have improved the drawbacks of a drug containing 2,2'-methylenebis (4-chlorophenol) (hereinafter abbreviated as MBCP). A bactericidal algicidal agent comprising MBCP and one or more benzophenones. The discoloration prevention method of the said process target water system which uses MBCP and benzophenone in the ratio of 1: 0.01-1: 0.5 (mass ratio) with respect to the sterilization algae process target water system. The addition method may be performed as a single agent or simultaneously or sequentially. As benzophenones, 4-hydroxybenzophenone and its derivatives are preferable. [Effects] Excellent bactericidal effect on various bacteria and no metal corrosiveness. [Selection figure] None |
