titleOfInvention | Work cutting method |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a workpiece cutting method capable of completely cutting while suppressing a chipping generated on the back surface of a workpiece when a plate-shaped workpiece such as a glass material is cut with a thin blade grindstone. SOLUTION: A half cut process for forming a grinding groove shallower than the thickness of the work W on one surface of the work W, and a thickness remaining in the half cut process of the work W from the other surface of the work W. The workpiece W was completely cut by a full cutting step of grinding and cutting, and the point of withdrawal of the thin blade grindstone 22 from the workpiece W at the time of complete cutting was positioned not inside the workpiece W but inside the thickness of the workpiece W.
