titleOfInvention Limit current type gas sensor and its use
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor configured to avoid the influence of a combustible gas contained in a test gas and a catalyst metal used for an electrode and to measure an oxygen concentration with high accuracy. A limiting current type gas sensor provided by the present invention includes a solid electrolyte having oxide ion conductivity, a gas diffusion rate-limiting body, and at least a pair of electrodes that are in electrical contact with the electrolyte. And a pair of electrodes 16 and 18 including an internal electrode 16 disposed in a region where the diffusion rate of the test gas is restricted by the gas diffusion rate limiting body and an external electrode 18 disposed outside the region. At least one of the pair of electrodes is formed of metal particles mainly composed of at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of any metal belonging to the platinum group, gold, silver, and nickel. And contains bismuth while being biased toward the surface of the metal particles. [Selection] Figure 1
