abstract There is no need for strict controllability in controlling the exposure amount, the size of the metal structure to be generated can be controlled, and the spatial resolution of the size of the metal structure to be generated can be reduced. Provided is a method for photoreduction of a metal complex ion which is not likely to be reduced. A metal complex ion photoreduction method in which a metal complex ion is photoreduced by condensing and irradiating a laser beam onto a metal complex ion dispersion dispersed in a material to produce a metal structure. A predetermined dye was added to the material in which the ion dispersion was dispersed, and the material to which the predetermined dye was added was focused and irradiated with laser light.
