PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet having high glossiness and image density, and excellent in ink absorbability and scratch resistance. A gloss comprising a porous ink receiving layer containing at least one layer of inorganic fine particles and a hydrophilic binder on a support, and inorganic fine particles containing substantially no hydrophilic binder on the porous ink receiving layer.
