abstract The present invention provides a particle conduction type speaker that can be easily manufactured and a method for manufacturing the particle conduction type speaker. A voice coil (2) is provided in a magnetic circuit (permanent magnet 3 and yoke 4) and vibrates based on an input drive current, and is connected to the voice coil 2 to vibrate the voice coil 2. And a diaphragm (6) fixed to the transmitter 5, and the voice is output when the vibration of the voice coil 2 is transmitted to the diaphragm 6 via the transmitter 5. In the particle conduction type speaker (speaker 1), the diaphragm 6 is formed by a single plate-like member, and a force is applied to two opposing end portions (61, 61) of the diaphragm 6 in the center portion.
