An ester conjugate that exhibits a vasorelaxant action is composed of chlorogenic acid or a chlorogenic acid derivative and arginine, and is selected from gamma-aminobutyric acid, amino acids, polyamines, amino sugars, and glucosamines. It contains. further, It is obtained by adding arginine to leaves or tuberous roots of Asteraceae and then subjecting the extracted extract to alkali reduction.
